Basketball Recap: Jordan Furney Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

After losing to Pendleton Heights the last time they met, Delta decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Delta Eagles secured a 44-40 W over the Pendleton Heights Arabians on Friday.

Delta's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Furney, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 10 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Chase Ritchie was another key player, putting up nine points.

Pendleton Heights lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ashaan Singh, who went 6 of 11 en route to 14 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandt Gray, who posted 11 points.

Delta's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Pendleton Heights, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
