The Provo Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Ogden Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Provo will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Friday, Provo made easy work of Payson and carried off a 9-1 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Drevin Christensen looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dawson Moore, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Austin Allred was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Provo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Payson only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Ogden had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Bulldogs.
Jonah Holmes and Kash Thompson made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Holmes tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Thompson struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits. At bat, Holmes went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run, while Thompson went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Thompson is becoming a predictor of Ogden's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-18 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Dominic Piper was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Ogden is 4-2 when Piper posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-16 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Rodrigo Torres, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Provo's record now sits at 15-8. As for Ogden, their record is now 5-18.
Everything went Provo's way against Ogden when the teams last played back in March of 2020, as Provo made off with a 13-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
