Valley is 7-0 against Motley County since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Valley Patriots will be playing at home against the Motley County Matadors at 6:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Valley has nine straight victories, Motley County has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Valley will head into Tuesday's contest having proved themselves against Spur: Valley took a 23-point defeat the last time they faced off against Spur, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Spur on Tuesday, sneaking past 48-45. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 566th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Motley County came up short against Patton Springs on Tuesday, falling 45-25.

Valley pushed their record up to 28-2 with the win, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points per game. As for Motley County, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.

Everything came up roses for Valley against Motley County in their previous meeting on January 14th, as the team secured an 81-21 victory. Does Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Motley County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
