Softball Game Preview: Port Jervis Raiders vs. Delaware Valley Warriors

The Port Jervis Raiders will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Delaware Valley Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Port Jervis fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Minisink Valley on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 8-7. The Raiders have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Delaware Valley fell victim to Abington Heights and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Comets, falling 16-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Delaware Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Port Jervis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
