Preview: East Hamilton Hurricanes vs. Cleveland Blue Raiders
The East Hamilton Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Cleveland Blue Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
East Hamilton proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 52) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-36 win over Ooltewah. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win East Hamilton has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, Cleveland can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past McMinn County 70-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Cleveland has posted since December 15, 2023.
Lauren Hurst was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Callie Brewer was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds.
East Hamilton pushed their record up to 15-7 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Cleveland, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
East Hamilton was dealt a bruising 75-43 defeat at the hands of Cleveland in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Thankfully for East Hamilton, Paige Moody (who scored 15 points along with two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
