Volleyball Recap: Floyd Takes a Loss

Floyd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Melrose Buffaloes, falling 3-0. The Broncos were not able to make up for their defeat to the Buffaloes from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-11.

Floyd's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Melrose, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Floyd will challenge rival Elida at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Melrose is set to square off against their familiar foe Lake Arthur at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
