Football Recap: Mildred's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mildred won the last time they faced Blooming Grove and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles blew past the Lions 34-13. The Eagles pushed the score to 34-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Luke McKendree threw for 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Wyatt Firth was his top target, picking up 97 receiving yards. On the ground, Trenton Harris rushed for 97 yards and two scores on only nine carries.

The win (which was Mildred's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.7 points on average this season. As for Blooming Grove, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
