Volleyball Recap: Fallbrook Has No Trouble Against Oceanside

Fallbrook had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Oceanside on Monday. The Warriors blew past the Pirates 3-0. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Fallbrook walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-18.

Fallbrook can attribute much of their success to Jason Fuentes, who had five aces and one block. Those five aces gave Fuentes a new career-high.

Fuentes wasn't the only good server: Fallbrook was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive contests.

Fallbrook's record now sits at 16-8. As for Oceanside, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11.
