Softball Recap: Manchester Wins Going Away Against Tug Valley

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Thursday. Manchester put the hurt on Tug Valley with a sharp 17-2 win.

Leah Page and Cayleigh Bowe did most of the damage at the plate: Page went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run, while Bowe scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Bowe has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Baker, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Manchester kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tug Valley only managed five hits.

The victory got Manchester back to even at 1-1. As for Tug Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Manchester will challenge Mishicot at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tug Valley, they will square off against Belfry at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
