Football Recap: Conard Comes Up Short

Conard lost against Enfield back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Wolves lost 43-21 to the Eagles.

It was another big night for Sawyer Pequita, who threw for 342 yards and four touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 88 yards and one TD for Enfield. Those 342 passing yards gave Pequita a new career-high. 99 of Pequita's passing yards were hauled in by Cam Trotta, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Conard has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Enfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Conard will challenge Hall at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Red Wolves will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.56 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Enfield, they will take on South Windsor at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
