Baseball Recap: Bristol Eastern Comes Up Short

Bristol Eastern extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-6 in the process. They came up short against the Tolland Eagles, falling 9-1. The contest marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

As for Tolland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10th (when they won 13-2).

For Tolland's part, the team relied heavily on Jackson Gietek, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Gietek a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Clark, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bristol Eastern will square off against Northwest Catholic at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Tolland, they will face off against Manchester at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
