             Jefferson Area has been away from home for three games now, but  on Thursday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the Madison Blue Streaks  at 5:00  p.m. Neither  team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.
 Jefferson Area's offense might be in the hot seat  on Thursday considering what happened against Kirtland  on Tuesday. They lost  9-0 to the Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings  (they are ranked 533rd, while the Hornets are ranked 225th).
 Meanwhile, for the first time  this season, Madison was forced to settle for a  draw. Neither they nor Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for  a  1-1 draw.
 Jefferson Area dropped their record down to 0-4 with that  loss, which was their third straight  on the road. Madison's  draw makes their record 2-3-1  this season.
 Jefferson Area suffered a grim  11-1 defeat to Madison  in their previous matchup  back in August of 2023. That  match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Jefferson Area was down  5-0.
