Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Point Pleasant Beach). They put the hurt on the Toms River South Indians with a sharp 24-5 win on Tuesday. The Garnet Gulls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Point Pleasant Beach pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Toms River South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
