Hoggard has gone 9-0-1 against Topsail recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Vikings will face off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Hoggard will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.

Hoggard is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Carolina's top teams: New Hanover, who was ranked 21st at the time (Hoggard was ranked second). The Vikings' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 2-0 shutout on Thursday. Hoggard found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: three Hoggard players were handed yellow cards.

Ari Tanner and Harrison Dyer scored both of Hoggard's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Meanwhile, Topsail was able to grind out a solid victory over North Brunswick on Monday, taking the game 3-1.

Hoggard's win bumped their record up to 15-1-1. As for Topsail, they now have a winning record of 9-8-3.

Hoggard beat Topsail by a goal when the teams last played on October 1st, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
