Softball Game Preview: St. Bonaventure Seraphs vs. Foothill Tech Dragons

The St. Bonaventure Seraphs are taking a road trip to challenge the Foothill Tech Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in St. Bonaventure's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.

On Tuesday, St. Bonaventure made easy work of Bishop Diego and carried off a 15-3 victory. The Seraphs haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Hudson Ortiz and Maci Schotten did most of the damage at the plate: Ortiz scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Schotten scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Schotten a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Laura Lynch, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Foothill Tech came up short against Grace on Tuesday, falling 18-1. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Bonaventure now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Foothill Tech, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

St. Bonaventure took their victory against Foothill Tech when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seraphs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
