Soccer Recap: Kennedale Comes Up Short

If Kennedale was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Eagle Mountain last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kennedale Wildcats fell just short of the Hillsboro Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Glen Gonzalez and Lance Pate scored both of Kennedale's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Kennedale's loss dropped their record down to 2-4-2. As for Hillsboro, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Kennedale challenge the Mabank at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennedale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Hillsboro, they will host Waco at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
