Bluefield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-10 to the WestSide Renegades. On the bright side, the ten- run performance marked the Beavers' highest-scoring match to date.

Nathan Redmond was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing eight bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.8 stolen bases per game. Rolon Jackson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Bluefield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for WestSide, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Bluefield will take on Woodrow Wilson in a tournament on Tuesday. WestSide has already played their next contest (against Mingo Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
