Football Recap: Burns' Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home + How To Watch

Burns dropped to 6-2 on Friday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Newcastle Dogies by a score of 15-13. The Broncs lost against the Dogies in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-14 score last time.

As for Newcastle, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average over those games.

A big part of Newcastle's victory came down to the chemistry between Teddy Troftgruben and his top target Dane Crabtree. Troftgruben rushed for 48 yards and one touchdown while Crabtree rushed for 51 yards and one score.
