Basketball Recap: Mount Vernon Gets the Win

There's no place like home for Mount Vernon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They escaped with a win on Monday against the Squalicum Storm by the margin of a single free throw, 68-67. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mount Vernon's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Squalicum, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Vernon will challenge Sedro-Woolley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Squalicum, they will face off against Lynden Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
