Baseball Game Preview: Milpitas Trojans vs. Gunn Titans

For the second straight game, Milpitas will face off against Gunn. The Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Milpitas has now lost 18 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 4.

Gunn hit Milpitas with a five-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

For Gunn's part, Cam Owen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Tripp Higgins was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cyrus Silva Rezvani, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Milpitas' loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Gunn, with the win, they broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-15.
