Basketball Game Preview: Chapman Panthers vs. Woodruff Wolverines

The Chapman Panthers will face off against the Woodruff Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.1 points per game this season.

Chapman played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They came out on top against Union County by a score of 63-52.

Chapman found their leader in sophomore Grayden Humphries, who posted 31 points. Those 31 points gave Humphries a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colby Moon, who had 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Woodruff came up short against Mountain View Prep on Friday and fell 55-48.

Woodruff's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Chapman, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.

Chapman beat Woodruff 60-52 in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Will Chapman repeat their success, or does Woodruff have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
