Softball Recap: Reed Comes Up Short

Reed and Spanish Springs squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Reed had to settle for second. They fell 13-9 to the Cougars. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Raiders, who until this matchup were averaging 3.53 runs allowed.

Krystyn Noble made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Kehaulani Tambaoan, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Reed's loss dropped their record down to 29-7. As for Spanish Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-11-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Reed nor Spanish Springs have any future games scheduled.
