While Franklin didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out the Morgan City Tigers 5-4 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Morgan City, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Franklin will host V.B. Glencoe Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin is facing V.B. Glencoe Charter at the right time seeing as V.B. Glencoe Charter is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Morgan City, they will venture away from home to face off against Houma Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Houma Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Morgan City surely won't give up without a fight.
