Football Game Preview: Ferriday Trojans vs. Ouachita Christian Eagles + Official Tickets

The Ferriday Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Ouachita Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ferriday is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 54 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Oak Grove on Thursday. They took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Even if they lost, Ferriday's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Marion Smith, Marvin Davis, and Salmond Davis, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Oak Grove's side was Smith, who picked up a sack, made 18 total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended one pass.

Meanwhile, Ouachita Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over Mangham. The Eagles pushed the score to 35-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Dragons cut but never quite recovered from.

Ouachita Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Ferriday, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.

Ferriday took a serious blow against Ouachita Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 56-28. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Trojans were down 36-14.
