Softball Recap: Perry Central Takes a Loss

If Perry Central was feeling good fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Collins on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats on Thursday, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 back in February.

Peyton Merrill was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Perry Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Presbyterian Christian, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-15.

Perry Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Presbyterian Christian, they will face off against Stone at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
