Archmere Academy came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past the Newark Charter School Patriots with a 52-48 win. The Auks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Archmere Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Newark Charter School, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archmere Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Newark Charter School at 6:15 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Newark Charter School, they are taking a road trip to square off against Dickinson at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
