Volleyball Game Preview: Valley View Spartans vs. Waynesville Spartans + How To Watch

Valley View are taking a road trip to face off against Waynesville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valley View has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with four straight losses, while Waynesville will come in with four straight wins.

Valley View lost 3-0 to Oakwood on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-11.

Waynesville won the last time they faced Madison and Katilyn Hanshaw did her part to make sure it happened again. The Spartans blew past the Mohawks 3-0 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Hanshaw, who had 14 assists and 13 aces. Hanshaw is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Waynesville's got stronger as the match went on, holding Madison to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-12.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Waynesville, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Valley View has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Waynesville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
