Preview: Lemoore Tigers vs. Hanford Bullpups
The Lemoore Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Hanford Bullpups at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Wednesday, Lemoore didn't have too much trouble with Tulare Western at home as they won 77-61. Given Lemoore's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Tulare Western is ranked 594th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Andrew Mora, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Micah Fox was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Hanford sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 victory over Mission Oak on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hanford.
Lemoore has been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 21 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Hanford, their victory bumped their record up to 11-16.
Lemoore couldn't quite finish off Hanford in their previous meeting back in January and fell 53-51. Can Lemoore avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
