Soccer Game Preview: Bishop England vs. Beaufort

The Bishop England Battling Bishops will challenge the Beaufort Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop England will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

Bishop England is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against May River on Tuesday as Bishop England made off with a 5-1 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Battling Bishops with their most commanding win of the season.

They hit May River with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ava Delpino (2), Charlotte Cline, Reese Woodard, and Sophia DeMarco.

Meanwhile, Beaufort put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Colleton County by a score of 3-1. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Cougars are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Beaufort pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Bishop England, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Bishop England skirted past Beaufort 2-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2019. Will Bishop England repeat their success, or does Beaufort have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
