Basketball Recap: Ravenna Comes Up Short

Ravenna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 60-43 bruising from the Centura Centurions. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Centurions are ranked 121st).

Centura had a senior duo take command as Weston Kroeger went 8 of 12 on his way to 20 points and Mason Gorecki posted 11 points and eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kroeger has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyus Francl, who scored ten points.

Ravenna's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Centura, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Ravenna has already played their next match (against Gibbon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Centura will take on Ord at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Ord is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
