McClymonds picks up sixth straight win at home

Recap: McClymonds Warriors vs. Bethel Jaguars

The McClymonds Warriors had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.9 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They secured a 54-50 W over Bethel. 54 seems to be a good number for McClymonds as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Devon Mack was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakari Thomas, who scored eight points.

Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was H. Howard, who scored 17 points. M. Longmire was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.

McClymonds' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for Bethel, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

McClymonds will head out on the road to challenge Oakland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oakland is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Bethel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against El Cerrito at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Cerrito will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 741st, while Bethel is ranked 349th).
