Baseball Recap: Wimberley Takes a Loss

Davenport hit Wimberley with a four-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Texans fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 5-4. The Texans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Sage Hall made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maverick Jacobs, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Wimberley's loss dropped their record down to 16-5-1. As for Davenport, they pushed their record up to 19-5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

As of now, neither Wimberley nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
