Vance County hadn't done well against Durham School of the Arts recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Vipers never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. This was a revenge game for Vance County: when they faced off against Durham School of the Arts back in March, they had to take a 5-0 defeat.

Vance County's one-goal win came courtesy of Ashley Martinez Galmiche, which was the first she's scored this season.

Vance County's victory bumped their record up to 9-6-2. As for Durham School of the Arts, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.

Coincidentally, Vance County and Durham School of the Arts will both be playing J.F. Webb the next time they take the pitch. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Vipers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
