Curtis beats Canarsie for their fourth straight win

The Curtis Warriors had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past Canarsie 33-6 at home. Given Curtis' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Canarsie is ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Curtis' win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 4-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points per game. As for Canarsie, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Curtis will head out on the road to face off against Tottenville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tottenville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Canarsie, they will square off against Erasmus Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Erasmus Hall is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
