Baseball Game Preview: Summit Storm vs. Madras White Buffaloes

The Summit Storm will face off against the Madras White Buffaloes at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Summit's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Madras' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Summit's win against Caldera wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Storm won by a run and slipped past Caldera 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Storm sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Madras came up short against Estacada on Friday and fell 6-3. The White Buffaloes haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Madras saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jared Penaloza, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.

Madras' defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Summit, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.

Everything went Summit's way against Madras in their previous meeting back in March of 2016, as Summit made off with a 17-1 win. Will the Storm repeat their success, or do the White Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
