Volleyball Recap: Laguna Beach Comes Up Short

Laguna Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the University Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-15.

Quinn Halloran paced Laguna Beach's offense, picking up 11 kills. Halloran got some help from Ben Goodwin and his 17 assists.

Laguna Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for University, they pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Laguna Beach will take on St. Margaret's at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tartans will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Breakers surely won't give up without a fight. As for University, they will square off against Woodbridge at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
