Winning always takes teamwork, but on Wednesday Maddie Bailey stepped things up a notch to give Marlington the 'W'. Bailey went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI, which was good enough to set a new career-high in doubles.

Bailey's strong effort led Marlington over Minerva and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dukes are a perfect 8-0 against the Lions going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
