Basketball Game Preview: Chino Valley Cougars vs. Kingman Bulldogs

The Chino Valley Cougars will face off against the Kingman Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Chino Valley nor Kingman posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chino Valley challenged Kingman Academy on Monday. The match between Chino Valley and Kingman Academy didn't end well, with Chino Valley falling 46-30. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Kingman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 80-29 loss at the hands of Yuma Catholic. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Shamrocks are ranked 40th).

Chino Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Kingman, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

Chino Valley came up short against Kingman when the teams last played last Friday, falling 59-55. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Kingman's Taelon Thomason, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds.
