Basketball Recap: Onsted Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Onsted waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 38-29 victory over the Homer Trojans. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while the Trojans are ranked 393rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Onsted to victory were Hannah Hill and Karlie Kimerer. Hill dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Kimerer posted 15 points. That's the most boards Hill has posted since back in December of 2023.

Onsted's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7. As for Homer, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-15 record.

Onsted didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-47 defeat against Jonesville on the 7th. Homer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
