Baseball Game Preview: Westmoreland Eagles vs. Trousdale County Yellowjackets

For the second straight game, Westmoreland will face off against Trousdale County. Westmoreland will challenge Trousdale County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westmoreland is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Westmoreland and Trousdale County, and Westmoreland kept the tradition alive. Westmoreland's pitcher stepped up to hand Trousdale County a 6-0 shutout on Monday. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Kooper Perry's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had over his last six games.

Perry has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games.
