Basketball Recap: Houma Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Delcambre last Friday, Houma Christian came back down to earth. The Houma Christian Warriors were outmatched by the Catholic - N.I. Panthers and fell 66-33. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Panthers are ranked 120th).

Houma Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Catholic - N.I., they pushed their record up to 18-14 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houma Christian will face off against West St. Mary at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Houma Christian is facing West St. Mary at the right time seeing as West St. Mary is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Catholic - N.I., they will take on Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
