Smoky Mountain has no trouble against Robbinsville

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Asheville, the Smoky Mountain Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Robbinsville out 51-48. That 51-48 margin sets a new team best for Smoky Mountain this season.
Smoky Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Custer Prenger led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. The game was Prenger's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Ben Brown was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Smoky Mountain's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Robbinsville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-1.
Smoky Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Brevard at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Brevard has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three contests. Robbinsville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Veritas Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Veritas Christian Academy has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
