Volleyball Game Preview: Carson Colts vs. Bishop Montgomery Knights

The Carson Colts will venture away from home to challenge the Bishop Montgomery Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Carson was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Garden Grove 3-2.

Carson took Garden Grove into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 17-15.

Bishop Montgomery not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10, 2025 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Torrance. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Tartars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

While Bishop Montgomery might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Torrance scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-21.

Bishop Montgomery's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Carson, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
