Volleyball Recap: Westlake Takes a Loss

Westlake was the 3-0 winner over American Fork when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Westlake Thunder fell just short of the American Fork Cavemen by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The game marked the Thunder's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kilika Tafa paced Westlake's offense, picking up nine kills. Tafa got some help from Keagan Cundiff and his 28 assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Westlake fell to 4-1. As for American Fork, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Westlake has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Bingham on the 8th. As for American Fork, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Mountain Ridge on the 8th.
