Football Recap: Early County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Early County suffered their biggest defeat since August 16, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 42-8 loss at the hands of the LaGrange Grangers. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-8.

Dylan Barber had an outrageously good game for LaGrange as he rushed for 139 yards and one score on only five carries, and also threw for 100 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine passes.

Early County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for LaGrange, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Early County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Schley County at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for LaGrange, they will square off against Sandy Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 848 yards in their previous games.
