Cheyenne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 32-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Desert Shields this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-24 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Cheyenne lost, don't look at Elissa Sambo. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points along with six boards and three steals. That was a full 63.6% of Cheyenne's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Alayah Belin was another key player, putting up no points and 13 rebounds.

Southeast Career Tech was led to victory by Liyah Elfberg and Mila Vidacic. Elfberg dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards, while Vidacic put up seven points and five steals. Those 14 points gave Elfberg a new career-high.
