Tallwood is 9-1 against Salem since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lions will host the Sundevils at 4:00 p.m. Neither Tallwood nor Salem posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Tallwood's offense. They lost 8-0 to North Lincoln on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Salem also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Cox by a score of 2-0 last Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Sundevils have suffered against the Falcons since June 1, 2021.

Salem dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Tallwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Tallwood might still be hurting after the 14-7 loss they got from Salem in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
