Basketball Recap: San Jose Prep Wins Going Away Against Beachside

On Monday, the San Jose Prep Storm didn't have too much trouble with the Beachside Barracudas as they won 64-50.

Beachside lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Morgan Cremen, who posted 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Cremen has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Kendall Kane was another key player, putting up 17 points along with six boards and five assists.

San Jose Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Beachside, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Jose Prep will face off against North Florida Educational Institute at 6:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for Beachside, they will take on Orange Park at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beachside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.
