League recap: Jefferies overpowering for Buhach Colony in past week

Buhach Colony's Daulton Jefferies was the best pitcher in the league this week. He won one game and struck out 13 batters.

The Thunder (22-7, 11-4) are red-hot, having won five straight games, the longest such streak in the league. The streak was extended by another two games over the past week, including a 6-1 victory over Beyer. Bradley Bertuccio led the Thunder's offense with three hits and five RBIs this week.

Pitman's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only eight hits and three walks, both of which led the league. The Pride's pitchers have been charged with only 156 hits and have struck out 166 batters. Damian Sousa-johnson is tops on the staff with 67 Ks.

Tyler Arnsberg drove in four runners as Lincoln defeated Pitman 6-3 on Monday.
