Recap: Early County Bobcats vs. Dougherty Trojans
The Early County Bobcats were the 73-69 winner over the Dougherty Trojans when they last played one another back in November of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Early County fell 52-40 to Dougherty on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Early County has scored all season.
Early County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jabril Lindsey, who scored ten points along with two blocks, and Nathaniel Tinson who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Charles Williams, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Early County's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Dougherty, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Early County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Randolph-Clay at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Randolph-Clay is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Dougherty, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Carver at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Carver is ranked 45th, while Dougherty is ranked 60th).
